Domain Names - Who's Afraid of Big Bad Box Domain Search?

Fear of the domain search box? If you are, you are not alone. A number of people told me they were leery about entering a name. First we were afraid of making a commitment before they were ready for another, they thought the name if it was a good, would be picked up by the Registrar if not pay for it at that time. Some were afraid of being harassed by banners and taken prisoner after the browser until later and bought the domain. And then there was always the fear that somebody somewhere was taking note of what they were doing and somehow putting on their behalf.

Courage! This side of porn, there is nothing more fun on the net and then feeding a domain search box. Well, Ok, that might be an exaggeration. Yet, if you give it a run there is fun to feed the box names and numbers and see what comes out of it, and, unlike sex, no matter what names or numbers used, the police will not come knocking on the door a warrant to seize on the hard disk. The worst thing that can happen is that you will not get the domain name you wanted.

First of all, you are not committing yourself to anything until you have given the registrar on your credit card number. You can power the window all day for free, some of us do exactly that every day. And even after paying for the name that still have five days to get your money back. As for fretting of someone stealing your domain name before you made up your mind, I have heard rumors of pre-load register domains, but in all my time on the web, I never came across a guy who does this (or perhaps none of my names worth stealing). I, however, has lost a lot of good boys names that were willing to move first.

About flags and browser hijacking, I experienced myself when I walked away from a domain name. This happens. But it is easy to shake out the browser and start again, and look at it this way, you have reduced the number of registrars who may be interested in doing business with at least one!

I continue to look for those names and numbers, even if the perfect name is already gone. If it were not important to have a network address that there would have been something as good or even better is just a few letters away. Go with your first impression, the name may sound silly, but so did "Yahoo" and "Google", and you know where they are now. Keep the name short as possible, but do not be afraid of long names, it sounds good to you, after all, you're going to have to give your friends and customers the domain name, and if it works "hopping on the language "you probably will be memorable for them.

The domain search box is a free service. Each registrar on the web is the one that wants to use. Do not be afraid grab the money from your purse or wallet before you're ready. And whatever you do, do not be afraid to bring out! ......
