The correct way to use Article Marketing for Your Business

Its no secret that article marketing is a great way to promote your business or website. But did you know that there are basic guidelines that you must follow in order to maximize the marketing power of your articles?

And if you reject these factors, any effort to put to use article marketing for your business will be dramatically less effective? Many people think that you can only write articles on any topic, submit them to article directories, and have a lot of people reading and clicking on the links in the resource boxes.

Unfortunately, there is a bit 'more involved in article marketing success. So before you start writing articles, these guidelines take into account:

Choose keywords that have a sufficient demand
For your article to get a lot of exposure, you are going to write this article around specific keywords and key phrases (as opposed to having articles of broader, less targeted phrases). It makes no sense to write an article on a single keyword phrase that is searched for a couple of times a day.

The greater the number of daily searches, the better. But at a minimum, you should choose keywords that get at least 33 searches a day (this is equal to about one thousand monthly searches). There are several free tools for keyword research that determines the daily demand for the keywords you're thinking of using.

Choose keywords that have less competition
Once you find keywords that are searched sufficient to satisfy your marketing strategy, the next step is to see how many competing web pages there are for them. Find a keyword that is searched for 1000 times a day is great, but if there are 1,000,000 competing pages, chances are you will not be ranked high enough to get a useful amount of traffic f.

To correctly determine the competition, you will insert the keywords (within quotes) into Google search box. Obviously it is better to have a smaller number of web pages competitors, and generally use 10,000 results as the maximum amount of competition acceptable to address a specific keyword through the use of articles.

Having a strong call to action
Most article marketers simply a quick bio of yourself in the author resource box. And while this is standard practice, Is not the best option. Marketing experts use the resource box as an opportunity to directly address the reader to act.

Instead of saying something like "John Smith has been a world-class chef for several years .....", which instead have a strong call to action, such as "Click here to get free to use a recipe for dinner tonight ! " Using this method instead of the typical author bio will greatly increase the amount of readers clicking on your resource box link.

Using article marketing for your business can be a very effective way to generate traffic for years to come. But if you do it incorrectly, most of your time and effort will be wasted. So take the time to write articles around a strong demand, low competition keywords, and be sure to tell readers exactly what pitch you'd like them to take the next .......
