A Day In Purmamarca

One day Purmamarca Purmamarca Hotels Purmamarca's people is in the province of Jujuy, Argentina, and is one of the most beautiful to be found in the north. Spend a day at Purmamarca means knowing a people like no other, of imposing beauty, traditions intact and with a simple architecture, with houses still adobe, earth and straw. Purmamarca, like many other sites in northern Argentina, is a barren place, with its striking red earth, with mountains of fall colors that make a beautiful contrast, although not very abundant vegetation.

To experience a day in Purmamarca is unforgettable and should be done, if you can. On a day when you can climb Purmamarca the iconic Cerro de los Siete Colores, a rock formation accurately, combining a range of browns perfect resulting in a wonderful sight to behold. You can also enjoy a drink in one of the bars that surround the town square, eating traditional salchipapas (a cone with cut sausage and chips), and visit the craft fair, located in the plaza, where you can buy beautiful regional handicrafts and clothing typical of the gorge made by the villagers. During a day you can also Purmamarca visit the old church of Santa Rosa de Lima, declared a National Monument, or spend a beautiful afternoon on the river located Purmamarca, facing the beautiful Cerro. Since Purmamarca is a small town, the chances of staying there are not many, but the service is good (like the food at the restaurants in the area, which are inexpensive and serve generous portions).
