2011: Record Year Billing E-commerce In Spain

All you have to do with the rise of new technologies and their positive impact on the Spanish economy is welcome. Speaking of new technology passes this time, for doing electronic commerce and with it, the Internet, usage and therefore the volume of business that drive these types of transactions and the implications for the Spanish GDP.

According to the report published by the Telecommunications Market Commission (CMT) for the first quarter of 2011, electronic commerce has been a new record for sales in Spain. In the first quarter of this year, the sector turnover of 2.055 million euros, resulting in a total of 30.2 million transactions. These data reveal that since 2000, the year they started to record the results of such transactions, has been this year which has offered the highest billing data.

In terms of areas of activity among which is mainly distributed this amount, are in this order, and according to the report of the CMT: travel agencies and tour operators (12.4%), air transport (12 , 2%), direct marketing (6.3%), inland passenger transport (6.1%), gaming and betting (4.9%), artistic performances, sports and recreation (4, 1%), education (3.7%), clothing (3.5%), advertising (3.0%) and computers and software (2.4%).

Other data related to the increase of electronic commerce in our country is, according to news agency Europa Press published a few weeks ago that the Internet brings to 23,400 million euros Spanish GDP. And is that the influence of the network of networks has led, according to the same source, the job creation among companies that have invested in new technologies. An example: 21% of the companies surveyed claimed to have increased their workforce through its corporate website and 24% of companies with a presence on the Internet said they had achieved a total revenue growth over the past three years.

If anything we can deduce from this type of news is that increasingly, Spanish companies are aware of the importance of a technological infrastructure that allows them to maximize their resources, in short are aware of the need for support and services from companies like Dacartec, consultants specializing in the implementation of technological and information resources needed to carry out transactions through the Internet, and with them, not just being present in it but also enjoy the great advantages its good use.
